GMTV - Voyager, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Its sister service GMTV2 follows the same broadcast slot with mostly childrens programming on the ITVplc owned digital channel ITV2.
The company is 75% owned by ITV plc and 25% owned by Disney, who produce its children's television output on ITV1 on the weekends and on GMTV2 throughout the week.
SMG, the owner of the two ITV licences for scotland (Scottish TV and Grampian TV) owned 25% of the company, this stake was purchased by ITV plc for £31million in 2004.

The designers work in small teams and are not specifically assigned to one particular strand or programme on GMTV or GMTV2.
I had a go, somebody else had a go, it went to a 3D designer outside, came back, still wasn't right and I finally nailed it on the head and it worked ok, but then they were saying that the background was too blue, let's bring some colour in, which we tried to do.
They re-designed it some time later and the typeface, which I quite liked, which you see on the reel, was a variation on what we were using on GMTV2, but the Chief Editor just considered it a kiddie typeface, wanted the whole thing rounder and bubblier.

Y'see, in certain parts of the world, turtle soup is something of a delicacy, and as a result the green turtle species is under threat.
Well, at least that's what we thought had happened until the martial arts reptiles turned up on GMTV2 Kids earlier this year with an all-new show.
And in an amazing coincidence (er, clever marketing ploy), Konami has also announced a new game based on the show, plus a tie-in with a range of new toys set to storm the Christmas charts.

I'm looking for some info about the episodes of "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" that have been shown on GMTV2.
I did not have access to ITV2/GMTV2 when they 1st started showing The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog but I now have Freeview and this morning I watched it on GMTV2 for the 1st time.
The episode was "The little Merhog" and as far as I'm aware GMTV2 didn't edit it, they even had the full end credits (although I had not seen that episode before so i don't know for sure).

GMTV2 has been showin Evo every weekday in the morning (way too friggin early, but I manage) and they've shown the last four eps of season 3.
Therefore it'd be logical to assume that the "new episodes" that will be shown on Toonami are going to be season three, which we've all seen on sunday mornings on "up on the roof" and GMTV2 (though I havent seen the GMTV2 slot so I dont know what time and if they are still going)
Toonami (which is part of cartoon network) has been showing series one and two in dribs and drabs for over two years now, first on cartoon network and then on what was CNX

 ITV 2 - Review - Not great
Other than that, it is a bit useless, although I guess the repeats of popular programmes come in useful if you missed them the first time around.
And why is it not on all day - it has a break between GMTV2 (woo hoo) and Trisha, it can be quite frustrating to switch to it mid-morning, only to find an advert telling you that the next programme is Trisha.
Watch BBC Choice instead - at least you have a better chance of finding a kiddies programme that doesn’t annoy the hell out of you.

TV Forum - View topic - ITV Network Rebrand
I can't help but thinkning but when CiTV launches as a sepaerate channel in a few weeks time, does this mean that in the run up ITVplc will take FULL control of GMTV?
At this present moment in time GMTV has a spin-off channel - GMTV2 which shows 95% children's programmes including pre-school and imported animation mainly between 7am to 925 (Monday to Friday) 6am to 925 (Saturday - and they are seperate programmes to those shown on GMTV1) and between 6 and about 825 (Sunday).
ITV will never take full control of GMTV and hopefully within the next 7 years of broadcasting gmtv can own themselves.

Digital Spy Forums - GMTV2 epg puzzle
When tuning into GMTV2 my Thomson DTI1000 always shows on the epg - 0600-0925 GMTV2 with a blank box underneath.
However I noticed this morning that my Thomson DVT1100 actually gave details of both the programme showing and the next one but the DTI1000 did not.
Saying that the digital switchover is only a couple of years away for some, it's about time they got this (minor) problem sorted - there's far too many occurences of this across the channels/muxes (either no epg data, or "stuck" epg data).

I have checked this morning and GMTV2 is definitely not broadcasting on my version of ITV2 (channel 56, Telewest Analogue, postcode CR0).
