Grade (education) - Encyclopedia, History, Geography and Biography
Often, grades are further subdivided by the use of +/- modifiers, with a minus signifying grades ending in a 0 to grades ending in the digit 3 or below (80 to 83 would constitute a B-), and a plus signifying grades ending in the digit 7 or above (87 to 89 would constitute a B+).
In many parts of the U.S. GPA (Grade Point Average) is denoted as a numerical value based on the letter.
A 4 will equal an A, a 3 will equal a B...etc. Plus and minus grades will add or subtract.3 from the original grade, and all of these get averaged out into a number.

Grade inflation is perceived by some to be problematic for schools because it is seen as a dilution of standards.
Grade point average (GPA) is a number quantity representing a student's academic performance of a semester, trimester, or school year.
Five and six are both considered to be failing grades, though in earlier years students are not required to repeat classes with '5' grades if they perform well in other classes.

The thesis presents a solution to the difficult problem of how to distribute data in sequential programs among several banks to best exploit memory parallelism, and yet retain the ability to disambiguate references to particular banks.
It enables both a high degree of memory parallelism, and on Raw the use of a fast compiler-routed static network rather than a slower dynamic network.
Static memory disambiguation may also be useful in other architectures that exploit ILP and have multiple banks with non-uniform access times.
