		The answer was practically unanimous: "freedom." Freedom is the ultimate promise of so-called new media: virtual reality, the internet and videogames aim to empower their users with freedom (or at least the illusion of freedom).
		GTA3 is more concerned with simulating crime than with telling us a story (sadly, this changed a bit in Vice City, GTA3's sequel).
		GTA3 has several clear quests but the player is not forced to follow them.

		Given that GTA3 is rated M it would be nice if it was pretty hard for kids to get ahold of it.

		GTA3 is a classic, but VC was more of the same, just dumbed-down and better-lit.
		If things like eating and climbing fences are the extent of new concepts, then it's time Sam Houser retired with his millions and let someone else make some decisions about game development.
		The awesome news for seasoned GTA3 gamers is that the follow up to the classic PS2 game is released October 31 2002.

		I played GTA3 solidly for weeks but could not find one of the 100 hidden packages, despite having maps of their locations as part of the official hint book.
		You might get a better, quicker response by posting to a GTA3 or general gaming forum where there are lots of people willing to help.
		Also, READ THE GTA3 FAQs because they provide maps and descriptions for the parcel locations and go into quite a lot of detail for some of the more difficult-to-get-to packages.

	Curmudgeon Gamer - GTA3, the Land Before Vice
		I've got GTA3 on loan, and the only time I'd played before was up at Matt's, where I'm afraid to say I played for hours and hours on end.
		Recently Matt's mentioned that he greatly prefers GTA3 to GTA:Vice City, and I'd written that off to him simply having gotten his fill of GTA in the first PS2 release.
		Where the radio stations in GTA3 have surprisingly good no-name music and hilarious parodies couched in talk radio and commercials, VC wimps out and shoots for that never-as-good-as-I-thought-it-would-be nostalgia and a second-rate Winslow replacement.

		my problem is to do with gta3 for the pc...I have installed it fine and inserted the play disc, started gta3 from the programs menu and the rockstar movie started and passed, and the gtacredits movie finished too.
		After that though it all goes wrong, it sticks on a screen with all the characters from the game and doesn't load anything else up.
		that is a known problem with the gta3 rip and there is a patch for it, but you said you purchased it so i spose try dloading the regular update patch thingy.

		There are other tricks to get to the other areas before you're supposed to as well, but the problem is you can't do any missions there unless you trip the triggers required to open those areas legitimately.
		But I'm pretty sure it was GTA3 that there was basically no provision made for us marketing people, so if we wanted a shot from one of the final missions, the first time we needed one we actually had to play for like 40 hours to get there, same as anybody else.
		We ended up just playing a couple missions per day, and everybody probably thought it was on purpose that the first couple batches of screenshots we put out were from the first few missions in the game.

	Xbox.com \| Xbox Games - Hardest mission in GTA3 and/or Vice City?
		For me, by far the hardest mission for both games combined was the off-road challenge in GTA3 called "Gripped." It was the one in Shoreside Vale where you have to drive a Patriot up a cliff to collect checkpoints.
		I don't know if these missions are genuinely that much harder than the others, or if I'm just a really, really bad video game player, but what the heck...Without further ado, I present to you the missions that at one time or another made me rave, grimace, and growl with animalistic rage.
		In GTA 3, "Drop In the Ocean" is a good one, where you have to take down the aircraft then knock off a bunch of Colombians, and have 5 stars the moment you get the stuff.

		A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it.
		I think the only thing that could be done after GTA3 is to build on revolutionary, which they have been doing.
		Just the top of my head, Having it be in Europe esque setting and being able to recruit 15 members that drive and follow you to your destinations while doing drive bys on Scotland Yard esque authorities.
