		The GUPPY II conversion (SCB 47), implemented from 1947 to 1951, was generally similar to the GUPPY I, except for the retention of both periscopes and the introduction of the recently perfected snorkel.
		Running from 1952 through 1954, the GUPPY IIA conversion (SCB 47C) was very similar to the preceding GUPPY IA. These boats retained the Sargo II battery configuration.
		GUPPY IB was an informal designation for a limited upgrade and modernization given to four boats for transfer to foreign navies.

		Almost immediately after these conversions, the GUPPY II program commenced, which added the installation of a snorkel system that allowed the diesel engines to be operated while the boat was at periscope depth.
		This conversion was similar to the GUPPY II, but the equipment updates and re-arrangements were not as drastic.

		From September through November, she was engaged in her first tour of duty with the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean.
		In 1951, Sea Robin was converted to a GUPPY IA submarine, following which she returned to New London for local operations.
		In January and February 1952, the submarine participated in Exercise “Micowex” in the North Atlantic testing cold weather gear and procedures under the supervision of the Naval Research Laboratory, New London, followed by a return to warmer waters and participation in Exercise “Pacex” in the Caribbean.

		West Coast duty continued for her until mid-1949 when she was transferred to the Atlantic Fleet, arriving at her new home port of Key West on 4 July 1949.
		The submarine continued to train and provide services for other ships in intertype exercises until 30 October 1950 when she arrived at New London to begin an extensive GUPPY IA overhaul and modernization.

		Armored Battlegroups are IA, and you need your opponenets permission to use them.
		Location: Chandler, AZ I don't have the Armored Battlegroup rules from Imperial Armor, but I do have the 1st and second IA books, (from 2000 and 2001 repsectively).
		As for the Armored Battlegroup rules in IA, I cannot say for certain, but I know our local shops prohibit IA/FW stuff unless specifically stated in the tourney rules.

		My blue guy yesterday got this spot that over the course of the night got fuzzy.
		Fuzzy spots are usually a fungal infection....what probably happened is that the salt killed the fungus and made it fall off, but either it caused a systemic infection or the erosion sent your guppy into shock.
		There is a wide variety of anti-fungals that you can buy - I like the Jungle-Clear antifungal tablets because the dosage is pre-measured.

		Jim Christley has conducted extensive research on the GUPPY program and most of the information contained here is the result of his tireless efforts. Jim writes that after the war the Navy obtained two German Type XXI boats. These were studied and tested extensively.
		A history of events leading up to the Guppy conversions indicates the following: According to Christley's article, "Why is there a "Y" in GUPPY?" the two German Boats studied were the U-2513 and U-3008. ;
