GWR 3700 Class - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Great Western Railway 3700 Class, or City Class, locomotives were a series of twenty 4-4-0 steam locomotives, designed for hauling express passenger trains.
The whole class was gradually replaced and scrapped in the period 1927 – 1931.
This class were subject to the 1912 renumbering of GWR 4-4-0 locomotives, which saw the Bulldog class gathered together in the series 3300-3455, and other types renumbered out of that series.

Dapol also modelled GWR No.5 ‘Portishead’ in 1999 as a limited edition (D101S3) but there is nothing to stop Hornby producing both models again or the locomotives in their WCandPLR liveries.
One problem with the model is that members class underwent various modifications and so the model in its present form is correct for a limited number of finishes unless you are prepared to turn a blind eye.

GWR 4-4-0 "City of Truro" is perhaps at the centre of the longest running controvery surrounding the performance of any steam railway locomotive.
An approach followed by many supporters of the claimed 102.3 mph maximum, who look at the claimed maximum speed as what they would like to have seen achieved, not what was actually achieved, or was even remotely possible.
Those speeds were not on a par with those achieved in the USA by the A class Atlantics and F7 Hudsons on the Hiawathas during the same years, but there is a lot of similarity in the origins of both the LNER high speed trains and the Hiawathas.

In the real world, however, a mile of travel on a segment of well-maintained mainline track is more likely than a mile on lower quality branchlines, since railroads tend to concentrate traffic on the highest class portions of their networks.
The algorithm will then tend to increase the portion of the route using the originating railroad, since its impedance per mile of equivalent MLC class is lower than those of other railroad subnetworks.
The default values for the standard impedance value for a transfer is 300 units, equivalent to 300 miles of travel on an A-mainline.
