Gabe Newell Comments on H-L3 - MegaGames pc
It appears that Valve's Gabe Newell, during a briefing at the company's Seattle HQ, has hinted, to Swedish journalists, that development on Half-Life 3 is already under way.
Newell told the journalists that H-L 3 plans include the conversion of Alyx Vance from a NPC to a fully playable character.
There is no way of confirming that Gabe Newell actually made those comments since no one expects Valve to comment, especially for as long as H-L 2 remains without a confirmed release date.

Gabe: There’s this technology that was really exciting that I’d like to see us get into production, which is a different approach to rendering complexity: Moving things into and out of an image domain and then seamlessly interpolating between those motions as you move around.
Gabe: The thing that we don’t understand -- and that’s going to be really interesting -- it’s like the entire industry has been making feature films, and the door is starting to open for TV shows.
Gabe: I think what we have to do is continue to look for ways to make Steam more valuable to people, to solve problems for people.
