In February of 1953 Baba told Gabriel Pascal, a famous director known for his productions of George Bernard Shaw's plays, to come to India during His tour of the southern state of Andhra.
Pascal, who had met Baba in Europe in the 1930's, loved Him deeply, and from their first meeting he had expressed his desire to produce a movie about Baba.
Baba was still for a couple of minutes; then He said, "If Pascal had come at the time I wanted him to, he would not have died." Pascal, pulled by his destiny, could not follow Baba's order; he did not realize it would have changed the course of his life.

Pascal and Paul now work in Pascal's new studio, a converted dairy in Dalston, East London, but when their work on 'Here With Me' began in 1997, they were still working in a room in London's Strongroom complex.
Pascal explains how they became involved in working with Dido: "Paul and I were signed as writers to Warner-Chappell, and Warner-Chappell signed members of Faithless.
When Pascal and Paul handed their recording of 'Here With Me' over to Dido and Rick Nowels, most of the major elements were present, including the vocal, drum pattern, bass sound and line, the electric piano riff that appears in the breakdown, and many of the other synth sounds.

The letters reveal the great extent to which Pascal scrupulously kept Shaw informed of what he did, who he negotiated with, the merits of association with certain individuals or businesses, contract problems, the backbiting and backstabbing of the film industry, difficulties with casting, and progress throughout the filming.
Most important, however, the letters, postal cards, and telegrams reveal how Pascal fought for the integrity of Shavian cinema; how, as a director, he tried to create films that were true to their dramatic sources; and how, in partnership with Pascal, Shaw's cinematic writings flourished.
Bernard Shaw And Gabriel Pascal is an amazing body of scholarship and research, and an invaluable addition to both cinematic history and Shavian studies.

One of the most successful musicals in the history of American theater was the brainchild of Hungarian film producer Gabriel Pascal.
Little did he know that Pascal's dream was to turn Pygmalion into a musical.
There was no subplot, a traditional element in a musical, no one to serve as the chorus, and–worst of all–it seemed to have a non-love story.

Just to give you an idea of the reputations we're dealing with, Peach Union consists of Pascal Gabriel, responsible for influental electronic music releases by S'Express and Bomb The Bass in the late eighties.
They later met Lisa Lamb, who had recently returned from a stint as a dancer in Las Vegas, at an art exhibition in London and seem to be doing a great job helping to build her reputation from where it left off with Band Of Gypsies and Washington DC's Troublefunk.
Lisa Lamb certainly has the voice, and Gabriel and Statham certainly have what it takes to make all the modern state of the art musical equipment they have at their disposal do what it needs to do.
