Professor Bluma Finkelstein of the University Haifa - the French Poet born in Tecuci - was awarded November 13th 2002 the Israel President Prize for the foreign language Israeli writers on Wednesday.
Among the other laureates of this year there also is Gabriela Avigur -Rotem, emigrated from Argentina, whose family also has Romanian roots (grandfather of hers left Basserabia in 1899).
