| | Mark 5:13b |
 | | Jesus entered the land of the Gadarenes, was met by a man possessed of a Legion of demons, He cast the demons out of the man, they entered the swine grazing on the hillside, the herd in turn tore down the bank into the sea, and drowned. |
 | | The sea is the entrance to what’s under the earth, the sea is the symbol of the abyss, the nether gloom, the pit, hell. |
 | | But Jesus, dear congregation, has a heart even for the heathen of the land of the Gadarenes and so causes these demons to be sent out of this land, more, to be sent off of "the earth beneath" into the "waters under the earth", back to the hell where they belong. |
