Edwards said the school is using all 14 classrooms, but doesn't use the building's ballroom or have an occupancy permit to use the temple portion of the building.
Edwards said parents who chose the school were looking for smaller classes and a "more personalized education." She said the school not only teaches math, reading and social studies, but also exposes students to drama, music, foreign languages.
For Edwards, who has spent a quarter of a century in all facets of education, leading this small charter school is a way to focus her core beliefs in education.
