Contemporary Christian Music (or CCM) is a classification of Christian music as well as popular music in general.
It is not a musical style or genre, as it refers to several types of music.
Nonetheless, as with mainstream music there are also a number of alternative rock and punk bands playing their music with a christian perspective.

Plans are to work together with well-known, influential artists that are interested in maintaining ownership of their music, aid in the marketing of their product, tour to support the release, and enjoy the creative and business freedoms in their pursuit of music and ministry.
While each artist's arrangement with Galaxy21 Music is unique, the common thread is that all aspects of the recording, promotion, imaging, photography, conceptualization, and advertising of the project is jointly determined by the label and the band.
Galaxy21 Music will release a limited number of projects a year, opting instead to carefully cultivate public awareness in the new cd.

CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC FACTS AND INFORMATION
Contemporary Christian Music (or CCM) is a somewhat outdated term originally used in the 1970s to describe a new form of pop/rock music that was lyrically based in the Christian faith.
This music had its roots in "Jesus_Music", which sprung from the hippie Jesus_Movement of the early 70s.
By the 1980s, CCM was a very large and lucrative music industry, with artists such as Amy_Grant and Michael_W._Smith selling millions of records.

Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), or Christian pop/rock music, is a sub-genre of Christian music.
It is called "contemporary" because it is distinct from traditional Christian gospel music and southern gospel music.
Now, in the 21st century, Contemporary Christian Music is more popular than ever, and artists such as P.O.D. Sixpence None The Richer, Switchfoot, and MercyMe are finding success in the mainstream music industry, while more traditional CCM acts like Michael W Smith are still selling millions of albums.

Here, from the previously unexplored (by me, anyway) ghetto of Christian music, was an album that had everything I was looking for: real, honest, probing, and often dark spirituality couched in swirling, beautiful, unearthly soundscapes.
As for the music itself, well, I just took a trip through all eight CDs, and the flood of emotions is surprising, even for me. This band has existed for 20 years on the fringes, their audience never numbering more than a few thousand.
At their best, you can hear these four distinct musical personalities pushing off of each other, and ending up with a sound like no other band out there.

SMASH Reviews - Ska & Punk
Buck Enterprises may not be as musically diverse as The Supertones, as creative as Five Iron Frenzy or as inspirational as The Insyderz, but Business as Usual is not only an improvement from their first release, but an enjoyable album for fans of the previously mentioned ska bands.
Their music continues for the most part in the same ska/punk/pop/rock style (with maybe a bit more punk than previous releases), but with one singer gone they sound less like Alvin and the Chipmunks and more like Broomtree or No Doubt.
Their many musical styles are combined greatly, and the songs flow very well from one to another.

It's musically reminiscent of "Samaritan," and lyrically (a call for a breakdown between interdenominational barriers), the Supertones' "One Voice." Excellent!
Other performances are predictable at best (the final track, "The Return," is lyrically sharp but could have used a better arrangement) and lackluster at worst.
Luckily, such problems turned into triumphs for the band, which seems to have picked up the pieces and moved on with a lyrically hearty and musically mature project.

, many artists were so desperate to sign a contract with a record company that they usually ended up signing a bad contract, sometimes giving away the rights to their music in the process.
Independent labels are typically artist-owned (although not always), with a focus usually on making good music and not necessarily on the business aspects of the industry or making lots of money.
Some independent labels become successful enough that major record companies negotiate contracts to either distribute music for the label or in some cases, purchase the label completely.
