Hall was offensive coordinator at the University of Oklahoma from 1966 through 1983, offensive coordinator at the University of Florida in 1984, head coach at Florida from 1985 through 1989, and head coach of the Rhein Fire from 1995 through 2000.
Hall served as Offensive Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma from 1966 to 1983.
Hall went on to win the remaining eight games on the 1984 schedule, winning what appeared to be the Gators' first-ever Southeastern Conference football championship in November 1984.

Hall was I believe the head coach or OC of the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe.
The word is he may be joining the staff as a graduate assistant, ironically, the same exact thing they did with Galen Hall in 1990 when he was axed from Florida.

It's a shame Hall has been so reclusive, not just last season when his offense was awful and there were many painful questions that went unanswered, but this season, a 10-1 Penn State season, when his offense was terrific and any public sighting would have resulted in raucous applause from the Penn State Nation.
Hall knows a lot of people wanted to talk to him last season to ask, if nothing else, why the Penn State offense couldn't make a first down.
But don't underestimate Hall's ability to co-exist with Jay Paterno, who somehow shares the play-calling in a unique situation that only Hall and the two Paternos could explain if they were inclined, which they're not.
