	Sawtooth National Forest Recreational Activities
		It is possible to ride off both sides of the summit, but several sections of the Galena (south) side of the road are in disrepair and necessitate walking.
		Park vehicles at the Williams Creek Trailhead and ride south on Highway 75 to the Fisher Creek Road or access at Fisher Creek Road.
		Elevation is 6480 to 6640 from Stanley Creek to Lower Stanley.

	Galena Creek Nature Trail lets babes be in the woods
		The Galena Creek Nature Trail is one of Paula Heinrichs’ favorite places to take her 5-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son hiking.
		According to the brochure, this creek drains the southeast slopes of Mount Rose.
		Apparently, Galena Creek was named for the 1860 settlement Galena, a fish hatchery used to exist on the creek and the park used to have a camp-ground.

		O results from the Galena Creek rock glacier core (-17.40±0.1 to -17.98±0.1 per mil, table 2) are similar to the results for late-fall or early-spring precipitation in the Rocky Mountains as found in ice from the Upper Fremont Glacier (Naftz et al., 1996).
