In this version of the story, the woman who comes to Alcmena's rescue is named Galinthias, and she uses the trick (seen already in Pausanias and Ovid) of falsely announcing to the goddesses, this time composed of the Moirai and Eileithyia, that the child has been born.
Antoninus then goes on to explain that after Galinthias was turned into a weasel, she was adopted by Hecate, and Heracles also showed his gratitude towards her by erecting a statue in her honor.
In Antoninus this is the task that Galinthias undertakes, provoking the rage of the Moirai.
