Galliard are Gay and Dave Reay, and they sing and play guitar - well Gay sings and Dave plays guitar.
This is their second CD (I think) and, like the first, contains a mixture of jazz standards and folk songs, this time Scottish.
Overall Galliard are not going to set the world on fire but I'm sure they are popular enough to ensure reasonable sales of their CD "Love and Pleasure" and good luck to them.

With the galliard, you actually get two dances for the price of one - the galliard and the tourdion.  The difference is that galliards are generally slower, and the tourdion stays closer to the ground.
The biggest trick to galliard is the rhythm.  The basic rhythm counts out, "one, two, three, four, and five."  (Indeed, one of the Inns of Court manuscripts gives, as its entire description of the galliard, "one, two, three, four, and five, etc.") (Follow this link for a.wav file illustrating the rhythm.)  
There was a great deal of improvisation with galliards in period.  Some variations on the five steps follow.
