ABBOTTABAD, Nov 11: The Galyat Development Authority (GDA), which has been merged with the Abbottabad Development Authority (ADA), has chalked out a programme for the uplift of Galyat, the GDA Director, Ikramullah Khan sad here on Monday.
He said for the removal of garbage, waste bins, which would be initially provided by the GDA, would be picked and removed daily.
Ikramullah said attention would be focused on improving tourists spots in Galyat for which different spots had been selected for the construction of parks with all the latest recreation facilities.

Galyat Hotels and Restaurants Association, on Friday criticized the authorities concerned for delay in clearing snow from the roads and said that the hoteliers business was suffering losses due to roads' closure.
Sardar Ali Asghar, chief organizer of Galyat Hotels and Restaurants Association, in a press release has demanded immediate clearance of the main as well as link roads in Galyat.

But, the provincial minister for local government, Sardar Mohammad Idrees, who was elected from Galyat, gave the GDA back in the provincial government's control.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, Sardar Idrees said that in the past the funds meant for Galyat were utilized in other areas and no development work was carried out in the entire belt except in some posh localities.
