HEY YOU, PIKACHU! N64 Game Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Perhaps it's the voice recognition technology itself, which is not as sophisticated as it should be for this kind of game, that has hampered GAME FREAK to design a world that is painfully confusing and antagonistic.
Although this is a game intended for the young, it's limited only to those who are old enough to be able to speak clearly enough for the microphone and the software to understand and recognize what's being spoken.
The kids I've seen play the game experienced a lot of frustration with this, and in each case it was only a matter of minutes before they dropped the game and moved on.

Next Generation - Retail Guide: Drill Dozer Screws Gamers
Game Freak started off well enough, with an action-puzzle game for the Famicom that felt like it might have come from Hal Laboratories, and a sort of a riff on Mega Man for the Japanese Mega Drive (odd, that) that feels like Sega could have made it.
Game Freak clearly has some stuff to say, and it would be nice if, between Pokémon releases, there were plenty of opportunity to explore that.
The game itself really doesn't have anything to do with Katamari Damacy; it's a task-based adventure game with an underlying plot about family dysfunction and debt and all manner of other problems that the player, as a tiny cleaning robot, is eventually to clean up.

The game even opens with a small cartoon that's just like the television series, and the effect is a powerful one, a familiar fanfare to the Pokémon enthusiasts that promises that they will be well taken care of, and indeed they are.
The game allows for several chains and combinations, situations where two or more matches are triggered at the same time.
Both multiplayer games offer difficulty levels and there's a handicap feature to balance the game when you play against your little sister and she's not quite as good as you are.

Yoshi (game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yoshi, known as Yosshi no Tamago (Yoshi's Egg) in Japan and Mario and Yoshi in Europe, is a video game released for the Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System and the Game Boy.
The player controls Mario or Luigi and tries to keep blocks with monsters inside that are falling from the top of the screen from piling up so high that they reach the top (a gameplay feature quite similar to Tetris).
The game remains one of the more obscure titles of the Mario franchise.

I mean, you can tell which older games were made by, for instance, Capcom due to the fact that their music had its own style.
This is where the game is either made or broken and Game Freak did a good job of providing appropriate sound effects that don’t make you want to shove a drill into your head.
With around 8-10 hours of gameplay through the main game, players will have even more gameplay on their hands if they wish to seek out the 31 treasures that are hidden throughout the levels.

The TV show, card game, and the endless sea of merchandise that spontaneously generated in our country shortly after its arrival were all geared towards children, and most of the stuff people said in the game itself sounded like somebody decided to test out the 1,000,000 monkeys on a 1,000,000 typewriters theory.
Every game, no matter how good, is going to have its flaws (some moreso than others, granted), but once you can look past the fact that you're probably playing the same game as your little sister is, odds are you might actually begin to enjoy it in spite of those flaws.
Specifically, the game keeps fairly good tabs on what you've been doing, so that whenever you resume your game from a save file, you are presented with a brief "previously on your quest" sequence.

That's all there really is to it, it's not as deep of a game as Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, or Gold, which had a full adventure to entertain between the battles so it requires more than one person to really bring the fun out.
Solo players may still want to rent the game as one of the biggest kicks it offers is seeing the little creatures roar, stomp, and gush in glorious 3D.
There's the Little Cup, a competition between low-leveled Pokémon (sort of the Kindergarten league), the Poké Cup which is a competition between levels 50-55, the Prime Cup for Pokémon levels 100 or lower, and the Challenge Cup which forces players to do their best with a party chosen for them by the computer.
