		While Final Fantasy XI doesn't currently offer quite as much variety and depth as competing games --especially on the PC -- its superb graphics, sound, and dedicated community make it a match for the competition.
		I have always been a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise, and curious of the MMORPG subculture, where even the most normal and very intelligent lose touch with the world outside their 17" LCD monitors.
		It could be compared to "Morrowind" in its depth and scope, but the real people that fill the town squares and gathering halls give Final Fantasy XI a living soul that Bethesda’s hallmark title never had.

	Music: Dear Friends: Music From Final Fantasy
		One of Uematsu's latest compositions, the dance-like "Ronfaure" from Final Fantasy XI perfectly proved that the Japanese composer's music is more than just accompaniment to slick visuals and the tried-and-true gameplay of the series.
		Though the event was overall weighted heavily toward music from the later games in the series (not surprising, given that Final Fantasy's US success story really kicked off with the seventh game in the series), we walked away impressed with the performance, the presentation, and the timelessness of Uematsu's compositions.
		The next piece, "Dear Friends" from Final Fantasy V with its haunting oboe and beautiful guitar accompaniment didn't fail to impress either, even if the latter was regrettably drowned out by the rest of the orchestra ever so often.
