  Paragon announces evolution of games - Xbox
Launching on 28 November, gamesTM will be monthly and aimed at the more mature, hardcore gamer who owns multiple games machines and will be perfectly timed to capitalise on the aggressive promotions planned from PlayStation2, Xbox and GameCube this Christmas.
With over 180 pages, gamesTM will be the biggest multi-format games magazine to launch in many years with enough pages to cover every important game in-depth.
gamesTM is be headed up by Group Editor Simon Phillips who has been responsible for the successful launch of CUBE and brings with him five years experience in editing magazines.

His collection did seem really tiny, but perhaps the point of the section is to let us know about fellow retro collectors (regardless of the size of their collection).

gamesTM kostet nur noch 5,90 EUR, bietet aber zum Glück auf den 96 Seiten (ohne Umschlag) immer noch kaum Werbung.
Besonders schade: Was in der gamesTM übersetzt oder von der deutschen Redaktion kommt, ist immer noch völlig unklar; bis auf das kurze Editorial gibt es keine Stellungnahme.

 GamesTM publisher goes up for sale - Idle Forums
As we reported before the New Year, Highbury have been in financial dire for some time - with debts said to stand at around £31 million.
This is sad news indeed, as many of the Thumbs stuff have enjoyed reading GamesTM over the last couple of years.
Whether it is likely to continue after any sale is not clear; but if, as some have predicted, Future (publishers of GamesTM's rival Edge) acquire the company, then this seems unlikely.

I can't get GamesTM over here without paying an extortinate amount of cash for a European subscription.
It's meant to be a talking point, not an indication of whether you should buy the games or not.
With gamesTM you don't know if the reviewer has similar tastes to you or not even if you buy the mag - the reviewers names aren't included.

In the latest issue of gamesTM they mention the GP32 in their retro section.
It basically says that they don't know what's happening with it which they think is bad 'cos they love it.
GamesTm do seem quite keen on the GP32.....

Things really started looking on the up in December 2002 when GamesTM magazine was launched with a 27 page retro section.
In the first issue of GamesTM and Retro Gamer, a computer from the past was looked at, in both cases it was the humble speccy.
In view of the up surge in retro magazines, the long held dream of Your Sinclair coming back could be turned into reality.

If GAME aren't going to sell the giz then its going to be a pain sending the games back (if allowed), if they are poor.
ya maybe edge and gamestm are staying clear of it till they can make a review base more on the games than the hardware.
The problem is that the Giz is not big enough for these magazine to notice.

 Oddworld Forums - Next Month in games(TM)
Today, I broght myself one of those stylish 'gamesTM' magazines from WH Smith, and after reading through the whole magazine, in the last page I found a two page spread advertising Oddworld Stranger in their 'Next month' Section.
It features the in-game screenshot across the two pages that we've seen before, with Stranger leaping into the ait and the two nameless hencemen with their hats too far down below.
Interestingly, though, both XBM and gamesTM are published by Highbury Entertainment, formerly Paragon (www.paragon.co.uk).

 GamesTM soon to be GamesRIP? - Idle Forums
Shares in Highbury House Communications were suspended yesterday after discussions over refinancing its £29.5m debt came to an end, leaving the future of many of it's remaining titles, such as GamesTM -- considered one of the better gaming mags in the UK, uncertain.
Highbury had been struggling to stay afloat since rival publisher Future Publishing (who are responsible for Edge) pulled out of a £96.5m takeover bid in April 2005.
Good luck to the GamesTM team, definitely the best gaming mag in the UK.

Of course, MSX is bound to be mentioned sooner or later.
In the previous edition of GamesTM, there were no less than 3 articles mentioning MSX, which were - of course - added to the list of nominees of the MSX in the Media Challenge.
