Tripura Rajaer Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (Bengali for 'Tripura State Tribal People's Liberation Council') is a leftwing movement working amongst the tribal peoples of Tripura, in north-eastern India.
Mukti Parishad raised demands of witdrawal of the DIR and freedom of expression and association.
In 1983 the All Tripura Peoples Liberation Organization of Binanda Jamatya gave up their arms and were integrated into the Ganamukti Parishad.

In 1948 the Mukti Parishad (Liberation Council, later renamed Ganamukti Parishad) was formed as a struggle front against the despotic rule of the monarchic leadership of Tripura.
The predecessors of the Mukti Parishad were the Janamangal Samiti (People’s Welfare Association), the Tripura Rajya Prajamandal (Tripura State Popular Assembly) and especially the Janasiksha Samiti (People’s Educational Association).
Also the Mukti Parishad was closely associated with the Communist Party, even though there were only two card-holding communists within its ranks at the time of the foundation of movement.

The struggles of the Tripura-based Ganamukti Parishad and the work done by Godavari Parulekar and other activists of the CPI among the Warli tribal communtiy of Thane in Maharashtra are well-known examples in the history of the Communist movement.
The fact that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) were active for over 20 years in the tribal areas and were attacking the minorities in such areas underscored the urgency of linking tribal struggles with the larger struggle against fascism and separatist forces.
Similarly, in Maharashtra, under the leadership of the Adivasi Parishad affiliated to the AIAWU, over 1 lakh people participated in a struggle for the regularisation of settlements and to prevent evictions in the last few years.

Seven persons have been injured in an explosion in separate incidents in the state, the police said on Sunday.
The NLFT ultras raided Manu village in Dhalai district on Saturday night and picked up Mr Bichitra Tripura, secretary of district committee of the Tripura Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (GMP), from his house and chopped him to death.
The utras then called Mr Champaranjan Tripura, also a member of the GMP, from his house in the same village and killed him in the same fashion.
