Portrait of an anarchist general - The Military career of Major General Miguel Garcia Vivancos   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-22)
Garcia Oliver decided that it was better not to over react to their complaints, and after having eaten his own cold rations he set off for the woods with a number of armed companions.
Garcia Oliver was called back to Barcelona by Mariano Vazquez, the national secretary of the CNT, and he left in low spirits as he felt that his original plan to bring a large and fresh unit into the line to achieve a decisive breakthrough had failed.
Garcia Vivancos' division was split on the 28th December as the 116th brigade reinforced the 39th division and the 117th and 118th brigades reinforced Lister's 11th division to hold against Nationalist counter attacks.

 Juan Garcia Oliver
Garcia Oliver was imprisoned during the dictatorship of Miguel Primo de Rivera.
Oliver said that he agreed with Durruti, since "Communists and Socialists are hiding themselves in the rear and pushing the FAI-ists out of the cities and villages." At this point he was almost raving.
My conversations with Garcia Oliver and with several other CNT members, and their latest speeches, attest to the fact that the leaders of the CNT have an honest and serious wish to concentrate all forces in a strengthened united front and on the development of military action against the fascists.

Garcia stated that in the Annual Budget Planning 1998/99 planning process, the Board received the HCCS 98/99 budget preparation guidelines, and she now wondered if the Board would be receiving guidelines for the 1999/00 budget.

Workers' Party of Marxist Unification - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
These divisions, particularly the accusation of Trotskyism (and even Fascism) by the Communists, manifested themselves in actual fighting between their supporters, most notably in the events Barcelona May Days of 1937, when the POUM was attacked by a mostly-communist coalition of government forces, which included the Guardia Civil.
While the much larger CNT initially supported the POUM, its more militant members such as Juan García Oliver and the Friends of Durruti were pushed towards conciliation by the moderate leadership.
This left the POUM isolated along with the purely Trotskyist Seccion Bolshevik-Leninista, and both organisations were driven underground and in exile.
