	Gibe region - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Gibe region is used to indicate a historic region in modern southwestern Ethiopia, to the west of the Gibe and Omo Rivers, and north of the Gojeb.
		To the north of the Gibe region lay the Macha tribe of the Oromo.
		The Gibe region, with the rest of southwestern Ethiopia, was almost entirely annexed between 1886 and 1900 in a series of conquests by the generals of Emperor Menelik II.

		West Garo Hills also informed that Suresh was also involved in the incident of seizure of 25,000 rounds of AK 47 catridges by Kolkata police from the truck bearing Meghalaya registration number MLO7-5859 last year.
		Suresh is one of the accused in smuggling the ammunition from Bangladesh to Kashmir.

		NETRAKONA, Apr 16: Different species of wild animals which were found abundantly in the past in the forest of Garo hilly region under Durgapur and Kalmakanda upazilas of the district are now facing extinction.
		The correspondent while making a trip to the Garo forest areas in Durgapur upazila recently found a small number of wild animals and birds like monkeys, foxes, owls, mongooses and wood-pickers roaming in the wild areas.
		Local people urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps for preventing the cutting of trees and indiscriminate hunting of wild animals and birds around the Garo hilly forest areas under the two border-belt upazilas of the district.
