In the county the population was spread out with 24.40% under the age of 18, 8.10% from 18 to 24, 30.90% from 25 to 44, 23.60% from 45 to 64, and 13.00% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county was $34,284, and the median income for a family was $41,250.

Before the revolution the families branch out to Garrard and Lincoln counties in Kentucky; Loudoun, Fairfax, Stafford, Prince William and Westmoreland counties in Virginia; and St. Mary, Charles and Anne Arundel counties in Maryland.
He lived in Loudoun County, Virginia, but at the age of 66 moved, with all eleven children and numerous grandchildren, to Washington County, Kentucky.
