 USNews.com: Update: Garth Drabinsky
Drabinsky, 54, dismisses a recent lawsuit as "a joke" and blames Mel Gibson for stealing his thunder.
At first, Garth Drabinsky's comeback seemed to be shaping up like some script from one of his Broadway hits.
Then last year, back in his hometown of Toronto, where Drabinsky remains a fugitive from U.S. justice and faces an additional 19 charges of alleged fraud regarding Livent, the impresario announced an even unlikelier plot twist: his own resurrection as a showbiz tycoon, producing films based on the Bible for the Christian evangelical market.

 FORWARD : FacesForward
Garth Drabinsky, a Toronto-based show-business impresario, is the producer behind "The Gospel of John," a movie based on the highly polemical Gospel of John, the fourth book of the New Testament.
One reason Drabinsky has not had to deal with the barrage of criticism aimed at Gibson is that their films use different source materials.
Drabinsky has repeatedly proclaimed his innocence and said last week that he expects his fate to be resolved definitively in the Canadian courts.
