In this book, Williams' long and illustrious career as the illustrator of more than 100 children's books is detailed.
There are lots of anecdotes that would be interesting to a child, such as the story that Williams' first drawing was done on a steamy window from his high chair.
Since Williams was so prolific a bibliography of some of his major works would have been a useful addition, but this book will be very useful in the classroom to introduce this interesting artist and his style or to teach research and writing skills using nonfiction sources.
