		Miller has backed the development of a rail link between Ontario, California and California, part of of a proposed 269-mile line between Orange County and Las Vegas.
		Miller took an exemption again in 2005 when he sold the 10 lots to the city of Fontana and again in 2006 when he sold a building to Fontana, claiming both were compulsory sales.

		To the East of Gary is Porter County and its Northwesternmost city of Portage.
		However, to the West of Gary are the strongly urban cities of Hammond, Whiting, East Chicago and then the Indiana/Illinois border and the southernmost neighborhood of the City of Chicago itself.
