Gary Lynn Nolan (born May 27, 1948 in Herlong, California) is a former Major League Baseball right-handed starting pitcher who played with the Cincinnati Reds (1967-73, 1975-77) and California Angels (1977).
As a 19-year-old hard thrower, Nolan had a promising debut on April 15, 1967 when he strikes out the side in the first inning in the route to a 7-3 victory over the Houston Astros.
He finished with a 14-8 record, was fourth in the National League in ERA (2.58) and in strikeouts (206), and was second in the Rookie of the Year selection behind Tom Seaver.

Gary Nolan, a syndicated radio talk show host heard on 45 stations, has become the latest member of the broadcast industry to join the Libertarian Party.
Nolan was joined for the occasion by LP National Director Steve Dasbach and LP Press Secretary George Getz, who watched him sign his LP membership form and then welcomed him into the Libertarian Party.
Nolan is the most recent of a long series of prominent radio personalities who have joined the Libertarian Party over the past four years, including syndicated powerhouse Art Bell, David Brudnoy of Boston, and Neal Boortz of Atlanta.
