 35070 - Perth-Wellington
It is true the Conservatives have gone down a lot in Ontario since the Jean Brault testimony, but their numbers are more or less than same as in the last election and their biggest drop has been in the GTA so I don't think Gary Schellenberger is in any danger of losing his seat.
A.S. Gary Schellenberger's obvious advantage in '04 was that he was a by-elected incumbent--and a PC at that, as opposed to a Frank Luellau-esque ReformAlliance super-scary-social-conservative; blame the whole Harper/Luellau negative karma for the fact that Sch'berger's first general-election victory fell short of the anticipated landslide.
Gary Schellenberger won by a pretty comfortable margin so with the Tories up in Ontario and liberals down (even after the most recent re-bound), it is highly unlikely they will lose any riding they won by more than 5 points.

EKOS says the Tory second-place hold nationally is "stable" and the company's most recent Ontario numbers indicate the Alliance has dropped from 20-per-cent support among decided voters to about nine, while the Tories have increased to about 20.
The two parties essentially split the right-of-centre vote in the riding in the 2000 election, but Schellenberger was convinced after Thursday's candidates' meeting the byelection is a two-horse race between himself and Innes.
Schellenberger's showing in the last election - his second-place finish was unusually strong for the Tories - and the fact he's a lifelong local resident are certainly factors helping him this time, said Nesbitt-Larking.
