Novel gateway interconnects operating systems: News from Enea Embedded Technology
A primary use of the OSE Gateway is in designs where an OSE communications device is managed by a Windows or Solaris workstation.
This Gateway daemon enables the client process to behave as an OSE process to the OSE distributed system and provides the ability for that process to appear identical to those running on the OSE operating system.
OSE Gateway and the OSE message-passing system support any combination of media and transport layers, enabling designers to use the same technologies when working with media from Ethernet to any of the emerging switched fabric solutions, irrespective of protocol.

The Gateway - Robbins' new novel blends eastern myth with comic wit   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
In past novels, Tom Robbins has written about a can of soup's cross-country travels, the body of Christ found in a roadside attraction, a renegade CIA agent with semi-incestuous inclinations and a penchant for hallucinogens, and a female hitchhiker with abnormally long thumbs.
So itís no wonder that the first character weíre introduced to in Robbinsí newest novel, Villa Incognito, is a mythological creature that has testicles the size of cantaloupe and a penchant for stealing sake and seducing fair maidens.
Robbinsí eighth novel starts out like a tale as weíre introduced to Tanuki, a mischievous god-animal from The World of Animal Ancestors who discovers how to change himself into a humanoid look-alike once he parachutes to the human world using his larger than life scrotum.

The epistolary form, which pre-dates the fully-fledged novel, quickly runs into limits that make other forms of fiction writing appear much more sophisticated by the end of the eighteenth century.
