Final Fantasy Odyssey | Final Fantasy VI > Characters: Gau
Gau is an interesting character, he’s more suitable for laughs and comedy-relief for the most part but if you use his “Rages” well, he can be a solid character in battle.
Gau is a weak character defense-wise and while he seems like a weak and useless character in battle, once you learn to master his most powerful rage attacks, he becomes a useful character in battles throughout the game.
While you may think that Gau is a weak character because of the lack of weaponry and armor, that is quite true but once you learn how to use his “Rages” well, he can prove to be a decent fighter.

Squaresoft's Final Fantasy IV was a flying-colorfully successful attempt to bring a fantasy comic-book story to life in a videogame.
Final Fantasy V stumbled into the realm of mere videogame (though I like to think it's a damn good one) in that it lacked artistic direction of the imitation variety; it was released just three months after Enix's Dragon Quest V, and more than two years after Dragon Quest IV.
The range of tracks in Final Fantasy VI is not as varied as in Mother 2, yet is staggering nonetheless.

In September of 1999, the Final Fantasy Anthology was released for the Sony Playstation, which is a bundle of Final Fantasy 5 and Final Fantasy 6.

"Final Fantasy VI" has been considered to be the game of the series that majority of its fans like the most.
Since this is the first "Final Fantasy" review I have brought forth, I shall give some sort of history.
First off, if you're wondering why this series has always been called "Final Fantasy" even though that there is no "final" game up to this point, the reason is because back when the first game was released in 1987, Squaresoft was in financial trouble.

RPGFan Soundtracks - Final Fantasy VI Grand Finale
I remember “Grand Finale” was my first CD purchase that took game music and brought the fullness of a live orchestra to it, as such, I remember how excited I was when it finally arrived in the mail.
While I can understand the need for variety for fair representation to the game, some of the most phenomenal themes of Final Fantasy 6 were completely overlooked, and in their stead we have some lackluster choices such as the town music, and “Mystery Train”.
The CD begins with the ominous chord swells of the opening theme, brought to new life with the sounds of a full string and brass section and with the added air of intensity of a timpani roll not found in the original OST.

Final Fantasy VI Piano Collections is an impressive CD.

Overall, Final Fantasy VI Piano Collections is a must-have for a collector, and has perhaps a little more general appeal than the other FFVI CDs because hey, everybody likes some good piano.
