		Today Gavin Friday is a prolific vocalist, artist and composer, whose film work includes a collaboration with Bono for the popular 1993 film 'In the Name of the Father'.

		SHAG TOBACCO (the third and last, not counting Friday & Seezer's score to "The Boxer") is a deft meshing of his histrionic cabaret stylings mixed with elements of glam stomp and svelte pop.
		I also agree that Gavin is quite a character live, and I was amazed when I saw him (Shag Tobacco tour) at how he completely captivated the audience, and for that two hours, he was the coolest guy on earth.
		It's the last official VP release, originally just with Gavin's vocals, (the re-issue restores Guggi's as well), and is somewhat overlooked, though it's definitely a bridge between the Prunes and Gavin's solo material.
