Gaya (가야; 加耶, 伽耶, 伽倻), also known as Garak (가락; 駕洛, 迦落), Gara (가라; 加羅, 伽羅, 迦羅, 柯羅), Garyang(가량,加良), or Guya (구야, 狗耶) was a confederacy of chiefdoms that existed in the Three Kingdoms era in ancient Korea.
Gaya is thought to have arisen from a more ancient confederacy of chiefdoms called Byeonhan.
Gaya exported abundant quantities of iron armor and weaponry to Baekje and the kingdom of Wa in Yamato period Japan.

The Gyeongbu Line (경부선; 京釜線) is the most important railway line in South Korea and one of the oldest, connecting Seoul to Suwon, Daejeon, Daegu, and Busan.
The Gyeongbu Line is the major route out of Seoul Station, and in addition to regular departures for Busan, trains travel along the Gyeongbu Line en route to Janghang, Gwangju, Mokpo, Suncheon, Yeosu, Pohang, Ulsan, Haeundae, Masan, and Jinju.
The most frequent passenger service on the line is provided by Seoul Subway Line 1 on the section between Seoul Station, Guro (where roughly half the subway trains leave the Gyeongbu Line to head out to Incheon via the Gyeongin Line), and Suwon.

The Gyeongui Line is one of the oldest railway lines in (An Asian peninsula (off Manchuria) separating the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan; the Korean name is Choson) Korea.
After the end of the (A war between North and South Korea; South Korea was aided by the United States and other members of the United Nations; 1950-1953) Korean War in 1953, southern trains were cut back to around Munsan (north of Seoul), with northern trains terminating at Kaesŏng.
Southern passenger service has been extended to Dorasan on the edge of the (A zone from which military forces or operations or installations are prohibited) Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and tracks have been built across the DMZ itself, but in early 2004, the northern connection from the DMZ to Kaesŏng was not yet completed.

Rafiganj: Traffic has been restored on the Gaya-Mughalsarai down line after two bogies of the derailed 2301 Howrah-New Delhi Express were removed from the track and necessary repair work done, railway sources said.
Sources at the Rafiganj railway station said that the down line was reopened for train traffic in the wee hours on September 13 and four trains, including 2801 up Puri-New Delhi, Purshottam Express, passed through it at a slow speed.
They said work was also on the up line but it would take at least a week's time to make the track operational.
