		The Workmen's Compensation Act No.2 of 1987 has finally been officially gazetted on the 26 April 2004, under Order No.6 of 2004 made by the Minister for Internal Affairs, Georges Wells.
		The explanation given by the Ministry said that all employees who knowingly believe they have substantial claims for compensation as a result of accidents at work, may seek the assistance of the Department of Labour which will be the responsible agency for the Act.
		The Workmen's Compensation Act was passed by Parliament in 1987 but was never gazetted for its enforcement.
