Vise then referred me to Dr. Gazi Yasargil at the Univ. of Ark. Medical Services Hospital in Little Rock, ARK. I studied this situation and learned as much as I could about Dr. Yasargil and would recommend everyone else do the same about their doctor.
I learned that Dr. Yasargil semi-retired overseas, wrote several textbooks on vascular surgery, is an acting professor and surgeon at UA, and was voted man of the century (that right, century) by his fellow colleagues in the field of neurosurgery.
Yasargil and Dr. Vise (who came to Little Rock for her surgery) both indicated that this was one of the most if not the most complicated AVM they had ever seen.
