		Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom is an amusement park located in Aurora, Ohio,USA, ] originally founded in 1887.
		In 1996, Premier Parks (soon to be Six Flags) purchased the park from Funtime and in 2000 Six Flags rebranded the park to become Six Flags Ohio.
		Geauga Lake is also the name of the lake that the amusement park lies along, which straddles Portage and Geauga counties in the towns of Aurora and Bainbridge Township.

	PointBuzz - Changes to Geauga Lake from being Six Flags
		What I've missed at Geauga Lake the past few years has been some of the flat rides they removed when it was renamed Six Flags Ohio, namely The Rotor and that Rocketship type swing, the latter of which was one of, if not the last one operating in the country from what I read somewhere.
		If Geauga Lake still has it (I heard in year's past it was on a backlot or something), I hope they'll reconsider that idea and restore such a classic flat ride.
		When I used to go to Geauga Lake in year's past (before the giant expansion by Premier), the flat rides that CP didn't have were the things I enjoyed most along with the Big Dipper and water park.

		Geauga Lake is in Aurora, Ohio, across the lake from Sea World, more generally right between Cleveland and Akron.
		Geauga is not the easiest park in the state to get to.
		This is the only coaster at Geauga Lake with platform gates, and when the train comes flying through the station at 50+ mph, that's not a feature to complain about.

		Geauga Lake began it's existance in 1888 with the addition of it's first ride, a steam carousel.
		The park layout is somewhat unorthodox, mostly due to the large lake that divides the park into two sections, making for a little hike across the boardwalk The crowd is largely concentrated in the main rides section, with the other side being pretty much a ghost town at this point.
		Geauga Lake has loads of potential, and it has recovered a little from the old SFD, but at this point, it still comes in at a distant third among the Ohio amusement parks.

		And Wyandot Lake is a dump of a park with mostly water atractions and a Coaster that is shorter than the water slides.

		Of course, if Cedar Fair had bought Geauga Lake 10 years ago they may not have been in the market to buy Knott's Berry Farm and that has proven to be a valuable addition.
		While Funtime didn't thrill us with rides at Geauga Lake they did the water attractions very well, particularly Turtle Beach and the other amenites for kids (Rainbow Island), the dry playground, etc. That got neglected and overshadowed when Premier came into the picture and look where that led them.
		And also remember that in 94 and 95 Geauga Lake had strong numbers, strong leadership and a strong culture.
