Gee Jam studios at San San, on the outskirts of Port Antonio, embodies Jon Baker's passion for cultural diversity and his dare-to-do approach to life, from which Gee Street Records and Management Limited was born in 1986.
When Gee Street met hard times in 1990, Island bought 50 per cent of its stock and Baker returned to New York with his staff.
Gee Jam Studios, managed by Steve Wilson, is part of the umbrella group Gee Jam Media Inc. which also includes Gee Jam Films, a digital editing company run by Rick Elgood.

The RZA made his debut in 1991, with the self-produced "Ooh I Love You Rakeem" on Tommy Boy Records.
Between 1993 and 1996, RZA produced a number of Wu-Tang Clan and Wu-affiliate albums, including one by the Gravediggaz, his own supergroup formed with Prince Paul, Fruitkwan and Poetic.

The founders of the Wu are Genius, Prince Rakeem A/K/A RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard, it all started after a couple of bad experiences with record companies for Genius and RZA.
They got together and RZA came up with a master plan, they threw in 100 bux each and released their debut single, Protect Ya Neck (Click for a soundclip) which was a huge success in club, college radio and the NYC underground hip hop scene!
Among them are the Gravediggaz who has released the phat album "6 Feet Deep" with bombs like "1-800 Suicide" and "Diary of a Madman", their album is co-produced by the RZA and its released on Gee Street records.
