Geelong Falcons Regional Manager and former Geelong champion Michael Turner says the Falcons has a proud history of nurturing a number of quality AFL footballers.
Geelong Falcons coach Damien Christensen says James may have been a quiet leader at first, but as soon as his confidence grew in his own football ability, many of his other team mates began to developed a new found respect for him.
This was best exemplified when the Geelong youngster flew to Perth as an emergency for the Fremantle match in Round 20 this season and then had to travel to Bendigo the next day to play for Geelong's VFL side.

Bolton, a defender with Geelong league club St Joseph's, had three plates inserted in his fractured cheekbone and repairs on his fractured eye socket after a collision with Newtown and Chilwell opponent Jason Orr in the opening minute of their match on 4 May.
He was angered when Football Geelong, the body that oversees the Geelong and Bellarine leagues, heeded the advice of investigating officer Paul Evans in not referring the incident to the tribunal.

Geelong Falcons used him off the bench a lot in 2001 (even allowing for the way they regularly use the bench more than most) yet he still averaged 18 disposals and kicked 27-19 primarily as an onballer/HFF and performed well in the 2001 U18 Championships.
Not just how often such a kid can be at his U18 club but also the mental wear and tear of spending lonnnng hours travelling all around the state, much of it by car.
Get him into an AFL club, where he can embrace the culture, be inspired by seeing first-hand the way others prepare themselves, be able to train and practice and have his body finely tuned full-time for 10 months of the year and I am confident he will develop into a seriously good AFL player.

From the 4 falcons games i have watched, I believe he wouldnt have had more than 1 or 2 goals kicked against him.
