Geena Davis was born Virginia Davis in Wareham, MA, on January 21, 1957.
Davis graduated with a BFA in Drama from Boston University.
Davis then worked as a runway model before landing roles in TV's "Buffalo Bill" in 1982 and then a recurring role as a flighty maid on the hit comedy series "Family Ties." On the big screen, Davis debuted as Dustin Hoffman's scantily clad dressing-room mate in 1982's Tootsie.

Davis portrays Mackenzie Allen -- a mother of three who also happens to be the Vice President of the United States -- who goes against the wishes of an incapacitated and dying president, and of her entire party, to take over the nation's highest office and become the first female Commander In Chief.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Davis studied acting at New England College and Boston University.
