Then on our way again to Geilo and we stopped at the side of the road to pull a Jetta out of the snow which had slipped of the road.

 The attractions of family skiing in Geilo, Norway :: global ski club, ski discussion forum, snowboard snow board.
It isn't a big place really (28km piste) and my two weeks had to package with one week in Hemsedal (42km piste) which is larger and not much further away.
I think on record Geilo is the smallest resort I have been.
I had a mavellous time in Geilo, Hesedal, Oppdah and Are for three Christmas.

We didn't get brave enough to try snowboarding, but it is certainly catered for, with two half-pipes and other assorted ramps etc. Instruction and hire equipment are available as you would expect from any self-respecting ski resort.
