Altogether, the research team was able to conduct ten FGDs, six in Davao City area, five among child workers and one among the parents of child workers while the other four FGDs where conducted in General Santos City, three FGDs among child workers and one among parents of child workers were done.
However, the work background of the family members can also be a contributing factor since the study shows that the parents themselves were former child laborers and that majority of the child workers have the same type of work as that of their parents.
