General will - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The general will, first enunciated by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, is a concept in political philosophy referring to the desire or interest of a people as a whole.
General will is what the body politic (community of citizens) would unanimously do if they were selecting general laws and were choosing/voting with full information, good reasoning, unclouded judgment (bias and emotion can cloud judgment), public spirit, and attempting to discern the common good.
Thus the imposition of the General Will is not consistent with autonomy or freedom.

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: General Judgment (Last Judgment)
The Scriptures clearly indicate that the judgment will be preceded by unwonted and terrifying disturbances of the physical universe (Matthew 24:29; Luke 21:25-26).
By this sign the Fathers of the Church generally understand the appearance in the sky of the Cross on which the Saviour died or else of a wonderful cross of light.
The angels and the demons will not be judged directly, since their eternal destiny has already been fixed; yet, because they have exercised a certain influence over the fortunes of men, the sentence pronounced on the latter will have a corresponding effect on them also (Supplement 89:8).

 What the General Will Learn
The reviewers will have 18 months to consider short-term and long-term effects of marihuana on health and behavior, its mechanisms of action in the body, the scientific literature on its therapeutic uses, and its costs and benefits when compared with other drugs used for the same purposes.
The commission will also undoubtedly find, as previous commissions have, that the other alleged risks of marihuana -- psychotic reactions, addiction and dependence, the so-called amotivational syndrome, and reputed effects on the immune system, sex hormones, and the reproductive system -- are either nonexistent or have been greatly exaggerated.
Once the General learns about marihuana's safety, versatility, and low cost as a medicine, he will probably want it to run the gauntlet of multi-million dollar controlled studies required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval of a new drug (although, as we have pointed out, marihuana is hardly new).

Free Will Baptist Church - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Free Will Baptist Church (or Free Will Baptists) is a group of churches that share a common history, name, and an acceptance of the Arminian theology of free grace, free salvation, and free will, based on the idea of general atonement.
Free Will Baptists believe that an individual maintains his or her free will to follow Christ, but in the event a believer turns from faith in Christ, there is no remedy for this apostasy (based on an interpretation of Hebrews 6:4-6).
On November 5, 1935, representatives of the General Conference (Palmer) and the Cooperative General Association (a mixture of Randall and Palmer elements west of the Mississippi) met in Nashville, Tennessee to unite and organize the National Association of Free Will Baptists.

This claim, coupled with the claim that the general will can never err, often leads Rousseau's readers to think that he is advocating a tyranny of the majority, a democratic tyranny [23].
The general will, says Rousseau, is expressed by a "sufficiently informed populace" [24] free from the harmful influences of excessive self-interest, vanity, superstition, and so on.
Therefore, the general will is not simply the "will of all," the will of the majority of citizens in all circumstances.
