		The Gentse Feesten is a festival with lots of music and theatre in the city of Ghent (Port city in northwestern Belgium and industrial center; famous for cloth industry) (Belgium (A monarchy in northwestern Europe; headquarters for the European Union and for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization)).
		It is the largest of its kind in Europe (The 2nd smallest continent (actually a vast peninsula of Eurasia); the British use `Europe' to refer to all of the continent except the British Isles).
		About 1 million people visit Ghent during these ten days, which is twice as much as the carnival festival of Rio de Janeiro (The former capital and 2nd largest city of Brazil; chief Brazilian port; famous as a tourist attraction).

		Just did some math, estimate there were 2000 visitors in the frontline during the Gentse Feesten, 1100 on the 5 BMU metal dayz and 900 on the 6 other days (mostly hardcore but very well-visited too) so an average of 175 people/day.
		Just read the Gentse Feesten were even started at Sint-Jacobs in 1970 by Walter De Buck I think as a rebelish alternative free fest but then after 1980 the general public aspect took over when the whole city got involved.
		But all in all, the feesten were very quiet (in terms of Volume) this year and i could barely hear fucking Raymond "grimm chin fuckstick" VantGroenewoud at all, where as other years, that retard makes my place shake with his atrocious drivvle.

		When my holiday started about two weeks ago, the "Gentse Feesten" were still going on.
		And only a couple of days after the Gentse Feesten ended, the "Lokerse Feesten" started.
		Some performances I really liked were Frederic Galliano and The African Divas and Marc Moulin at the Blue Note Festival in Ghent and of course Lamb, one of my favourite bands, at the Lokerse Feesten.

		We left the Pole Pole pasture after this concert, but the Yakki Famirié band and DJ-music were promised to ensure a continued tropical night..
