The Union College Miniterm in Martinique took place from November 25 to December 15, 2001, and 15 Union College students participated.
Students lived with Martinican host families for the duration of the stay, participated in a wide range of seminars and French language classes, and went on three major excursions, one to the north of the island, one to the south, and a final exciting jeep tour.
Students also created independent projects in which they incorporated seminar notes, excursion lectures, and individual interviews between students and people of Martinique, all of which were supplemented with photos and extensive commentary (all in French).
