Mayotte is at the northern entry to the Mozambique Channel, between 45°20 longitude East and 12° and 13° latitude South.
It is 10,000 km from Paris, 1,500 km from the island of Réunion, 400 km from the East African coast, 300 km from the west coast of Madagascar and 190 km from Grand Comoro.
