Georg Leibbrandt (September 5, 1899 - June 16, 1982) was a scholar and politician in the Nazi Party.
Leibbrandt had a talent for languages, which, coupled with a Rockefeller scholarship, enabled him to resume his studies in Paris and the United States from 1931 - 1933.
Leibbrandt accepted a request from Alfred Rosenberg in 1933 to return to Germany, and joined the Nazi Party that year.

Sammlung Georg Leibbrandt is a series of publications dealing with the former German population in Russia, prepared under the direction of Ernst Meynen.
Georg Leibbrandt, after whom the series is named, had written numerous books on the German population in Russia and was prominent in this field during the days of Hitler and the occupation of Russia during World War II.
Another section of the Sammlung Georg Leibbrandt, entitled Die deutschen Siedlungen in der Sowjetunion, consisted of five volumes (Berlin, 1941), which have the special inscription Sonderausgabe.

Dr. Alfred Meyer (October 5, 1891 - April 11, 1945) was a Nazi official, achieving the rank of Staatssekretär and Deputy Reichsminister in the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories (Reichministerium für die Besetzten Ostgebiete or Ostministerium).
The Wannsee Conference was the discussion by a group of Nazi officials about the Final Solution of the Jewish Question (Endlösung der Judenfrage).
Rosenberg had presented Hitler with his plan for the organization of the conquered Eastern territories, suggesting the establishment of new administrative districts in future, to replace the Soviet territories in new Reichskommissariats.

The person I had the discussion with suggested that Leibbrandt left his position in the Eastern Ministry because he opposed the Nazi policies in the Soviet Union.
