EDMUNDS, George Franklin, statesman, born in Richmond, Vermont, 1 February 1828.
Edmunds was active in the impeachment of Andrew Johnson; sided with President Grant against Charles Sumner, and acted an influential part in the passage of the reconstruction measures, adopting a conservative course.
In 1876'7 he was one of the members of the electoral commission, having been previously chairman of the committee which, in concert with a similar committee of the House of Representatives, prepared the bill creating that commission.

The way I see it, those that oppose this war are more opposed to George W. Bush than they are to the liberation of an oppressed people whose leader is a threat to the world.
Edmunds is like a policeman pounding a beat and protecting citizens against the criminals lurking in car dealerships.
I found useful articles at Edmunds' safety section on traction control and vehicle stability control system — I'm not completely sure if they are worth the extra $2,400-$2,900 for the Sienna's Option Package 7 though.

I am searching for the family of George Beale, born c 1807 in Bury St Edmunds, a parchment maker, who was transported to Tasmania in 1830, having been convicted in Northampton.I believe he had a brother William.
George was a bricklayer later in Hull and he married Margaret Kemp whose father was born in Howden Yorkshire.
In the 1901 census she was living with her uncle Walter and his family, she went to London some time after that as she married my grandfather in 1908 in Wandsworth.

I have been researching the Edmunds family descendents of Flavious Josephus Edmunds son of George T Edmunds and believe him to be the same George T Edmunds born Kentucky son of William Burke Edmunds and Mary George Hawkins.
I have George T Edmunds who married Lucy E Fray (or maybe Hawkins) Sept 20 1859 in Texas and later Nancy Standifer.
Unfortunately, while all indications point to him being the same George T Edmunds who went to Texas with his grandfather Henry Hawkins I have not yet found any proof.
