McKinnon, Cooper and Wordelman are all looking forward to the reaction of the poets when they hear the music for the first time.
McKinnon is also currently working on a violin concerto for EOU Artist-in-Residence Lisa Robertson, to be premiered by the Oregon East Symphony at their concert in Pendleton on Nov. 12.

There is so much of McKinnon writing his life and mortality in his poetry, especially in both "Arrhythmia" and the "sex at 31" series, which are built from an almost inflated sense of mortality.

George Bowering wrote something I think called 38 at sex." Most of the pieces written have been difficult to trace, in old magazines or out-of-print solo collections, but for the two pieces in McKinnon's selected (the first of which also appeared in Bowering's The Contemporary Canadian Poem Anthology.
After the visit to Prince George, McKinnon and I toyed with the idea of editing a "collected sex," challenging various poets around the age of 31 to write their own, but, so far, it hasn't really gone anywhere.
