GEORGE ROSE (1744-1), British politician, was born on.
In 1801 Rose left office with Pitt, but returned with him to power in 180 4, when he was made vice-president of the committee on trade and joint paymaster-general.
His elder son, Sir George Henry Rose (1771-1855), was in parliament from 1794 to 1813, and again from 1818 to 1844, and in the meantime he was British minister at Munich and at Berlin; in 1818 he succeeded his father as clerk of the parliaments.

George E. Rose Sr., a long-time rancher, cattleman and well-known horse trainer and one of the original supporters of the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show, died Sunday, April 27, 2003 at his home in Hollister after a long period of failing health.
Rose was born Sept. 15, 1914 in the Union District south of Hollister and lived his entire life in San Benito County except 1966 to 1969, when he had a ranch in Shoshone, Idaho.
Rose began showing the horses he trained in 1936 and soon won awards in hackamore and stock bridle classes in California, Oregon and Nevada.

George Harry Rose was born in Stamford, Connecticut on 28 February 1880.
Rose voluntarily took part in land operations there in May and June 1900, distinguishing himself on several occasions, among them carrying dispatches on 10 June, helping to fight off an attack on his unit's baggage train on the 13th, engaging in combat on 20-22 June, and obtaining medical supplies from an enemy-held village.
George H. Rose died on 7 December 1932 in Newark, New Jersey and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

George and his two brothers would travel by the last train on a Saturday night from Melbourne to Croydon in the Dandenong Ranges, a distance of about 50 kilometres.Then they trekked along the bush walking tracks in the moonlight, carrying their camera gear, food and sleeping bags until they reached a campsite.
George soon developed a market for his photography by going to scenic spots in the woods, such as Fern Tree Gully, that were popular for picnics.
