Voinovich is generally known to be a political maverick with a low-key persona.

I would like to think having a strong advocate for U.S. policy and interests would not be something George Voinovich would put secondary to how he was viewed by the political establishment and media elite who he was obviously trying to impress.
Voinovich has been active in "the game" too long to fall prey to the Democrat's trap.
