The Institute of manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia has already held three expeditions to Mount Sinai (in 1990, 1994 and November-December of 1996) to study the manuscripts first found in 1975.
Georgian scholar Ilia Abuladze found Albanian Alphabet in the manual of Armenian grammar, among the alphabets of Armenian, Greek, Jewish, Georgian, Syriac and Arabic languages, when there was almost no hope of finding it.

 The Georgian Script
The script used in the Georgian state before the creation of the Georgian alphabet must have been Greek and Aramaic (inscriptions have been found in Armazi, near the old capital of Georgia, Mtskheta).
In its place the creator of Georgian alphabet put the letter expressing the sound that has not been phoneme in Georgian but did existed in Georgian as a positional variant (allophone) of -i in some positions (these positions will be described in the part on phonology).
However, the major part of manuscripts are kept at the K'ek'elidze Institute of Manuscripts of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, and also at other libraries and museums in Georgia.

However he appeared very busy person that is way we (Academy of Sciences) have received the part of the equipment just one week ago whereus the list of the equipment has been suggested by him in March 1995 in the document "Status report, Georgian academic and research Network project ".
